OVERVIEW of SciCron® AMC-800™ Anti-Microbial Clear
SciCron® AMC-800™ Anti-Microbial Clear are scientifically proven antimicrobial technology that will provide lasting and effective protection against harmful bacteria, mold, fungi and viruses by up to 99.99%. Articles within hygiene-critical environments are known to harbor pathogenic bacteria and other microbes for extended periods of time; the H1N1 genome, in particular, is reported to survive on surfaces for up to 24 hours. This combined with the increased prevalence of antibiotic resistance and reports that cleaning agents are having a reduced effect on microbial colonization.
AMC-800™ Anti-Microbial Clear is hydrophobic, easy to clean, cost effective, robust, hard coatings with very good antimicrobial properties. The coatings are designed for barrier surfaces and high touch applications, but it can be used where antimicrobial properties are needed on most plastic surfaces.

What does antimicrobial mean?
Antimicrobial is used to describe substances which demonstrate the ability to reduce the presence of microbes, such as bacteria and mold.
What's the difference between antimicrobial and antibacterial?
Antimicrobial Technology is effective against a wide spectrum of microbes: this includes bacteria, mold, fungi and even viruses. Antibacterial Technology, on the other hand, is only effective against bacteria.
SciCron's antibacterial technology will offer lasting protection from bacteria, including superbugs such as MRSA and E. Coli. The coating contains antiviral technology that makes the active ingredient effective against viruses, such as the prevalent H1N1 influenza virus. It is perfect for use in hygiene conscious environments where clean-ability, scratch resistance, and the transfer of microbes is a concern. AMC-800Γäó Anti-Microbial Clear coating is infused with permanent antimicrobial that will not leech, cause discoloration, nor affect the final product.

*Testing to the BS ISO 21702:2019 standard, SciCron's AMC-800 active ingredient was proven effective against feline coronavirus, strain Munich, with a reduction of 90% in 2 hours. This should not be used for claims against the novel virus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), but it does demonstrate the antiviral efficacy of this technology against a member of the coronavirus family, the feline coronavirus, strain Munich. Actual COVID-19 and other antimicrobial evaluations of our products are ongoing, results are expected in the future.

You agree to indemnify and hold Professional Plastics (and its officers, directors, agents, subsidiaries, joint ventures, employees and third-party service providers), harmless from all claims, demands, and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of a breach of your representations and warranties set forth above, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
For any content that you submit, you grant Professional Plastics a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable right and license to use, copy, modify, delete in its entirety, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from and/or sell and/or distribute such content and/or incorporate such content into any form, medium or technology throughout the world without compensation to you.
All content that you submit may be used at Professional Plastics's sole discretion. Professional Plastics reserves the right to change, condense or delete any content on Professional Plastics' website that Professional Plastics deems, in its sole discretion, to violate the content guidelines or any other provision of these Terms of Use.
